Believers Never Die Part Deux

I've never wanted to go to a concert this badly in my entire life.

"Fall Out Boy, Cobra Starship, Metro Station, All Time Low and Hey Monday"

Oooh, it's going to be at outdoor Promowest!! The website is a little behind, as; the venue's name has changed to Lifestyles Communities since (I still call it Promowest, though, so I can't blame them). Anyway, I have great memories from that venue, but if you are going to go to that show and intend to get there early to get front row, I would suggest you join the Promowest Production's Decibel Club, else you shall be royally screwed over. The Decibel Club gets into venues before the line regardless of how late they show up. My friend and I had gotten fucked over by them so many times that we finally succumbed to their evils and joined (but we still waited in line for 20 hours, so we weren't quite the jerks the rest of the club becomes).

Sorry for the rant, but I felt the need to give you fair warning. I've seen two of those bands (FOB and Hey Monday). Hey Monday were pretty good (http://venomousformaldehyde.blogspot.com/2008/11/bill-and-travs-bogus-journey-tour-part_03.html There's my show review), but I could go without ever seeing FOB again. As much as I love them, Patrick's voice has got to be the worst thing ever when he sings live. EEk.

I've gotten screwed over a lot at Lifestyles, too. I'm definitely going to check out the Decibel Club for this show.

And I know what you mean about Fall Out Boy... I've heard live performances and I know they suck, but they are my favorite band and something has always happened to stop me from seeing them live. So... even though I know they will suck, I still want to see them. That probably makes no sense to you, but it makes sense to me.

I've seen both Hey Monday and All Time Low live and they were both pretty good. I absolutely love Cobra Starship and I think they are one of the best live bands I have ever seen; that's a big part of my wanting to go to this show.

I'm definitely getting tickets on Wednesday... but I have no idea how to get to the show! How did you get to Bill and Trav's Bogus Journey? Because I really wanted to go, but I couldn't find a ride.

Ha-ha! I know exactly what you mean. Nothing could stop me from seeing my favorite band. I would, like, knock down mountains. LOL

My friend actually brought this show up today when we were shopping: She wants to go to the show, so I might be going as well.

I got to the Bill and Trav show because my friend picked me up and took me to it. Before I knew she was picking me up, though, I posted it on the OU ride board, and there was one other girl looking for a ride with whom I could have gone. So, if you wanted you could post it there and hope someone else is going; it could work, and I hope it does for you!

So this Decibel Club... do they sell tickets to all shows? Or will I have to buy tickets to another show in order to get the membership for the FOB show? Sorry, I was just really confused by their website.

You just join the club and get benefits at select events. This may not even be a DC event, but if you join and pay the price to join the club you can get, I believe, tickets to 4 shows for free, and you get let in before the rest of the line, thus not getting cut by selfish Decibel Club members who show up late. The tickets aren't sold through Decibel Club, but you can get free ones after joining.
